Spirit of Beacon Day Committee Makes Community Announcement For 49th Year Of Celebrations

The Spirit of Beacon Day began in 1977 and has grown in both attendance and expression ever since. “A day to bring the City together, especially the children and youth....the community should get to know one another better, learn to know what each other likes in conversation, feelings, entertainment, education, and food.”

The 2026 Spirit of Beacon Committee would like to thank the City of Beacon Administration, the City of Beacon Recreation and Highway Departments, our generous sponsors, gracious volunteers, and Spirit of Beacon Parade participants and vendors who make this celebration possible.

2025 Float Competition

Last year the float competition came back, with New Covenant School winning the friendly competition! Building off of the theme from last year, the youth will again be marching first in the parade.

Spirit of Beacon Day is a celebration bringing the City together, and the 49th Annual Spirit of Beacon Day celebration’s theme is “Unity in the Community”. Meet us on Main on the last Sunday in September, from 11 am am to 5 pm.

Side Performances

Connect and Professional Skateboarder Andrew Singh will be doing a skateboard exhibition again on North Chestnut.

Musical Lineup

Host Najah I. Muhammad, Dj Will, and Bosco and the Storm will be uplifting the Main Stage at Veteran’s Place from 11am-3pm. Followed by a special performance by School of Rock, & DJ Cypher with Beacon DJ’s Cyrus and Fudd from 4 pm - 5 pm. The Karaoke Boys and Tony Depalo have live performances at the sound stage next to Subway throughout the day.
